*Flashback* "What was that?" I had heard something that snapped my out of my misery. I turned around slowly, but didn't see anything. Kylyn put her hand on my arm. "What do mean, Verne? I didn't hear anything." Drey cocked his ear to the side. "No wait, I heard it too." He shifted his grip on his axe and moved closer to me. Trusting Drey's acute Ranger hearing, Alder unclipped his rope from his belt and Kylyn put an arrow in her bow. I clutched Minn's Staff and my blue sword tightly in my hands. The fog shifted, and figures emerged. Lots of them. We were totally surrounded. We pressed closer together as the figures came closer to us
